I was extremely satisfied with my stay here! The staff checking me in were very personable and provided local recommendations. I also needed to catch the jetfoil in the morning, and they gave advice on when to leave and even helped us reserve a taxi for the morning. The room itself was spacious with a big window and had deluxe amenities upon request (via their sleep menu, we requested a humidifier, room aroma, and a firm pillow). The breakfast buffet was another highlight for me, as they offered three different types of Niigata specialty rice to try and a broad range of many healthy and delicious options. Overall, I wish all of my hotel experiences could be as satisfying as this one.

When we were checking out, we needed a cart to help take all our luggage down so I called front desk and they sent over a staff with a cart immediately who loaded all our luggage for us and put them in my car. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms were nice with a touch of Japanese essence. We ate dinner at the buffet on the first floor which was also excellent. It's great to have facilities inside the hotel especially on cold Niigata days. If I stay again, I would use their gym facilities which looked well equipped.

Parking was free for IHG member which was a pleasant surprise, and the parking lot was very convenient to access (although a bit confusing at first entry because of the one-way streets). The staff was very friendly and offered to help without needing to be asked, and can communicate adequately in English.

The hotel was very handy to all that Niigata has to offer. It's a short walk to the train station and a lot of the most popular sites, and also isn't too far from the river and the Sado Island ferry terminal. The staff was wonderful and welcoming. Numerous great restaurants, including a lovely bar on the top floor with great views of the city.
